Where We Work

Two counties, three towns, one rate - and no travel surcharge to any of them.

We also reach Ignacio, Hesperus, Mancos, Dolores, Vallecito and the Pine River valley. Further out than that, call and ask - we will tell you honestly whether it fits a route or whether someone closer serves you better.

Two Counties, Three Different Chimney Problems

Durango is the oldest and densest of the three. Corbelled brick from the 1880s to the 1920s, clay tile where there is a liner at all, and a great many original fireplaces with wood inserts dropped into them decades ago. Crown deterioration and unlined insert installations are the usual findings.

Cortez is a different job entirely. High desert at 6,200 feet, stucco and manufactured housing venting through class-A insulated pipe, and stoves that are the heating system rather than the ambience. PiƱon and juniper, high duty cycles, and weathering rather than masonry failure.

Bayfield and the Pine River valley run on wood in earnest, with ponderosa closing over the rooflines. Seasonal cabins with cold-start creosote, class-A pipe that gets replaced rather than repaired when it goes, and the most acute wildfire exposure on our patch - which is why cap and arrestor work matters more here than anywhere.

Cortez and Bayfield run on scheduled route days rather than individual call-outs. That is deliberate: batching a county onto one day is what makes it possible to charge the same rate 45 miles out as we do in town.

Booking neighbours on the same day is how we keep travel out of the price.
